5 Labrador Mixes, 6-8 weeks old.

Our organization rescued these pups from being euthanize. Four of them have already been adopted. We are left with our special boy (presents with juvenile cataracts) Socks. At this point in time he is about 9 weeks old. Has had his first set of puppy vaccines and will have the second set Nov. 9, 2016. He will be seeing an ophthalmologist Nov. 30, 2016 to evaluate his visual presentation. So far it does not appear to hinder his activity in any way. He is able to follow, run, interact with others, eat independently, look for his "poo area", etc. Socks is extremely intelligent and loving.

One of the boys "Onyx" was already adopted (10.21.16).  We are looking for forever homes for Spots (Black and White , male already adopted), Lucy (Black, female, adopted), White Paws (Black with white paws, female. adopted).

Fenced in yard, adoption contract, and deposit (which will be returned upon proof of surgery) for s/n. Adoption fee $75.00 (S/N deposit $30 for males, $35 for females).

For more information give us a call 850.270.8793 (7am-7pm) or email at or you can complete our preadoption questionnaire at Following receipt we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet.

We appreciate your consideration.

About Our Rescue Group...

You Can Make A Difference, Inc. is the final phase in a journey that began many years ago. After years of aiding other organizations to achieve the goal of preventing animal abuse we decided to create our own organization.

It was the realization that only if we stop the birth of unwanted animals that the vicious cycle of animal neglect, abuse and abandoned would eventually be stopped that moved us to establish the organization.

We hope that together we can make a difference in the lives of many animals while at the same time educate others in responsible pet parenting. It is time for all who have been touched by the unconditional love that animals can provide to start to "pay forward."

Our organization is geared to serve residents in Gadsden County, Florida. Gadsden County is the second poorest county in the state of Florida. There is no animal shelter in the county, only a high kill facility.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are at PETCO in Tallahassee every first Sunday of the month between the hours of 10 am and 2:30 PM and at PETSMART in Tallahassee the THIRD Sunday of the month in the same schedule.
We have an adoption booth at the Tractor Supply Store in Tallahassee, FL. at least four times in the year. Dates are advertised in our website or via Facebook.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee ranges from $75 to $200.00 dollars. All animals are fully vetted, spayed or neuter accordingly as well as microchipped. Puppies usually have either the first set of vaccines or all depending on their age, but may not be spayed or neutered. A refundable deposit is required when adopting a puppy that has not been spayed or neutered. Deposit is refunded upon proof of having spayed or neutered such puppy.

You can see our adoptable pets during one of our monthly ADOPTION EVENTS or with a prior appointment coordinated via telephone or email.

An adoption contract is required. This contract includes an agreement for no less than 4 follow-up home visits during the first year of adoption. A FENCED IN YARD is required.
