Julianna is: Couch Potato - Like the easy life? Then I’m the perfect match for you. I’m a relaxed, laid-back kind of dog who enjoys long naps, watching movies, curling up on laps, and walking very short distances from the couch to the food bowl and back. Julianna is obviously a mature dog, she is extremely calm, laid back kind of lady, maybe even a bit lazy & would do well with someone who is a first-time dog parent --- NO KITTIES - She does require a 6 foot high wood or vinyl fence. No exceptions.
This beautiful girl Julianna is a true Redbone and she is just stunning. I know she looks sad & as if we are about to put her in the oven for dinner -- but that's the look a Redbone's. When you talk to her & pet her, then you can see how soft and gentle her eyes are when she looks at you. She has moved into my living room and onto my sofa & she quietly tries to get in bed with the my husband along with the others who sleep with us. If there isn't room, she waits until everyone leaves & gets in bed with her head on the pillows! She is thrilled to have a doggie bed but really loves be able to snooze on the sofa.
If you are looking to adopt an easy-going, calm gentle soul to keep you company -- she would be a great match for you. She is very quiet for a hound, the only time she bays is when puppies are all running around chasing each other, then I think she is acting like a Den Mom and telling them to slow down so no one gets hurt. She is a real pack dog, she LOVES other dogs, they make her happy, so she would probably be happy with another dog to be buddies with but it's not mandatory.
I love watching hounds or any dog who has spent it's life outside - never a pet enjoy what being a pet is all about. All the food and water you could ever want, to be with people who think and tell you how beautiful you are, to be with people that they come to trust -- my favorite thing is to watch them sleep on a big overstuffed doggy bed for the first time in their life. That gives my life meaning.
