Every LnF dog lives in a foster home & have been thoroughly temperament tested to guarantee a sound disposition, loves people & is fine with other dogs. Each has been evaluated by the *ASPCA Meet Your Match Program* Our goal is to help you adopt a dog not just by a photo -- but one that fits your lifestyl e.
Ribbons is: Wallflower: Shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell when meeting new people. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom.
Ribbons does require a 6 foot high wood or vinyl fence.
Are the kind of outdoors person that loves to be out there in the snow? Clearly if you are -- you should adopt a dog who is also 'outdoorsy' like LnF adoptable Ribbons. This photo shows her at her happiest WET from the hose! Ribbs also loves being outside in the snow -- I have to BEG her to come in no matter what the weather. There is a photo below showing her being a Snow Bunny! Here is her story:
If Ribbons were a woman she would be the kind of woman who is most comfortable in jeans & a flannel shirt. If you love being outside & adopted Ribbons she would become your constant companion! S he is a very outdoorsy kind of girl. She is always the 1st to go outside in my backyard in the morning & the last to come in. She just loves to be outside & prefers to find something, anything to perch on & she keeps an eye out for those pesky birds & squirrels. She makes it her mission that they are NOT going to come in her yard while she is on duty!
Ribbs is shy at first --- but warms up as soon as she feels comfortable, she has no aggression whatsoever. She is extremely beautiful as you can see, VERY smart & would do best with an experienced dog parent with relaxed lifestyle. She is also so smart --- she would need her adopter to be at least as smart as she is! She is laid back, loving and would love to be your best new girl! She is spayed, fully vetted, housebroken, crate trained & microchipped.
Ribbons is about 50 lbs. young adult Lab/Border Collie, extremely intelligent, very agile, and I feel if she met someone who wanted to take all that raw talent they could train her to excel agility. Ribbons a true beauty. Her beautiful black coat is actually glossy, very shiny and thick and so soft!
She is also a huge water hound. When I get the hose out she stands there & stares at it. I can squirt it right in her face & she LOVES IT! I would love to see her in a home with a pool or at least a larger kiddie pool for her!
She is a leader among the dogs but submissive with humans. She came from a kill in WV along with two of her siblings.
