Come and meet Deuce!

He is a handsome white Pit Bull Terrier with a cute freckled nose. He is 4 years old and weighs around 43 pounds. Deuce has been in boarding for quite some time now and we decided to send him to a home based board and train program to give him a break from kennel life and polish up his manners. His trainer is over the moon with Deuce. He has been doing very well with his obedience training. In fact, Deuce is one of his favorite students and he said someone will be very lucky to have him. All of the visitors seem to have taken a liking to Deuce as well. He is quite the ladies man our Deuce.

Deuce loves other dogs but maybe a tad bit too much. He can be quite overwhelming with his rough play and as much as he gets along with other dogs it might be best if he is the only dog.

Deuce is a happy go lucky type of pup. Ready for adventure! Do you like to go running then he will gladly be you running buddy. He will make sure you stay fit. Do you enjoy hiking? Deuce would love nothing more than to see what is out there in this world…together with you of course. Camping, fishing, you name it he will be the one who would love to accompany you. If you can’t catch any fish…he will get you one. If you fail to set up the tent…he will keep you warm and protect you at night. He doesn’t care as long as he can be with you. Well, ok he does have one request. You must not forget to bring yummy treats! Deuce is quite food driven and will do whatever it takes to please you just to get that treat. So if you have an active life style and looking for a loyal friend to join you then look no further. You have found him!

About Corridor Rescue Inc. - Pittsburgh Transports

About Our Rescue Group...

Corridor Rescue Inc. is an all breed 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable animal rescue organization on a mission. A mission of mercy, rescue and awareness. A mission to save lives and correct an injustice to animals who have been thrown away and left, often times injured and starving, to fend for themselves in the Hwy 59 and Little York area of Houston - apparently the dividing line for the county and city Animal Control. Its about a mile strip of road dubbed the "Corridor of Cruelty". Veer off to the left or right along any point and see the same everywhere - abandoned and starving dogs, in pain and suffering. Here, trash and animals are discarded without thought on a regular basis. We're not talking about a handful of animals, but hundreds of physically and emotionally damaged animals in the fight of their lives to simply survive another day.

Started by one person, Corridor Rescue has grown its team of volunteers, from all walks of life, united in an effort to help this community of orphaned animals in desperate need of help. We work to rescue hard to capture dogs and cats; to rescue and rehabilitate diseased and injured dogs; to facilitate the rescue of animals mainly from the Corridor of Cruelty but also from other areas of Houston; to educate about spay/neuter and animal cruelty laws.

Success happens everyday yet we know that our fight is far from over

Our Adoption Process...

We require all potential adopters to complete our pre-adoption application. Please contact with inquiries, or visit our website to fill out our online adoption application -

After review of your application, a rescue volunteer will contact you. We will check veterinary references on all current pets or any that you have had in the past 3 years. We conduct a home visit by appointment to meet family members, other pets, and to evaluate home safety conditions. If we feel the potential adoption is a good match for the family and the pet, then we proceed with placing the animal on a "trial adoption". We want to be sure that your new pet is right for you!
