Oliver's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Oliver's Story...
This is Oliver. He was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Chicago with his brother. His paperwork says he's a 2 year old Norfolk terrier mix. Oliver is up to date on shots, microchipped, and neutered. He was very matted when we pulled him, and he had to be shaved.
We suspect Oliver was abused by someone in his life at some point because he is very scared of new people. He will need a family that is willing to work with him and his fears - a home with small children is not recommended at this time.
Oliver gets along with small dogs (unsure about large) and does not seem to mind cats. When he is comfortable with someone, he is very cuddly and loves to give kisses.

**If interested please fill out an application on our website www.mendingheartsrescue.org and we can set up a time to meet them, as we are a foster based rescue**

**adoptions fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm check for dogs, FeLV test for cats, and flea/heartworm prevention**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Rockford Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Rockford, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Rockford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockford paves the way for another one to be saved.
