Tall, dark and handsome with a kissable face and a purr that will charm your socks off ... what more could someone ask for? Now throw in loving, affectionate and playful. That equals a purr-fect cat named Ziggy! That's me. I'm an amazing young boy, only 1 year old. I came to this Rescue after spending months in a shelter being overlooked like most black cats are. When the PFL volunteers came to the shelter, I knew it was my chance to be chosen. I worked my magic and they couldn't resist. I rolled on my back. I made cute faces and batted my eyes. They started to pet me and I demanded the belly rubs. Then, I crawled into their laps and started to snuggle. That did it. I left the scary shelter and now I'm up for adoption with this Rescue. In addition to being the most loving kitty with people, including kids, I am also very friendly and social with other cats. I really enjoy the companionship of having a buddy to play with and to nap with. At the shelter, I would always try to open the dividers between my kennel and the kitties around me, so I could play with them. I'm a total lover boy and just perfect for any loving home! Saturday, December 10: Home for the Holidays Adoption Event at Suburban Subaru, 1820 Maplelawn Dr, Troy. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. come meet adoptable cats and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). It's the Subaru Share the Love event and Paws for Life earns donations when Subaru customers purchase a vehicle and choose PFL as the beneficiary.
Sunday, December 11: Annual Fur Bowl fundraising event at 5 Star Lanes, 2666 Metropolitan Pkwy., Sterling Heights. For just $25, each bowler receives unlimited pizza and pop, plus three games of bowling and shoe rental. Amazing raffle items, silent auction and 50/50 add to the fun. Game 1 starts at 1 p.m. sharp, so get there early to check out all the great raffles.
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
