About Our Rescue Group...
We are a No-Kill Shelter and Rescue Group that operates solely on donations. We receive NO State, Local or Government help and are ran by volunteers with a mission to save lives. We have fundraisers among other things to raise much needed money. These donations help us continue to save and rescue many neglected, abused and forgotten animals and we are the voice for them, the adoption fees and donations we receive helps us keep RCHS open and running and pay the bills, sometimes it gets tight be we always make it. Some of our adoptable pets are in foster homes which helps them to adjust to becoming a better family member and it's less stressful for them, we are always in need of more foster homes. We strive to find them loving FUREVER homes that will take the time, patience and understanding that the animals deserve so they will never be tossed in a shelter situation again. WE CARE VERY MUCH FOR EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL and put a lot of time and love into there care, as if they were our own they only ask for your love back.

Come Meet Our Pets...Some of our pets can be seen at Petsmart in Sunset Hills, where they will be waiting to find their forever homes. We hold adoption events every second and third Saturday and Sunday from 11-4, at the Petsmart in Sunset Hills (10900 Sunset Plaza Dr. (Located in the shopping plaza at Lindbergh Blvd and Watson Rd). Occasionally, weekday evening arrangements can be made to meet a foster if needed. Please come and meet the animals and help us find their forever home and for RCHS to build a great friendship with the next RCHS adopter.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fees help off set the cost of everything that is done to the animal before it gets to your home, spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, ear cleaning, rabies certificates, micro-chipping, fecal float, heart worm testing for dogs, and any emergency related vet bills (such as c-sections, amputations etc). Heartworm preventative is administered ONLY after the animal has tested negative and flea treatment is started then also. (If they test POSITIVE for Heartworms, treatment is only administered by a vet and will be under their care through the treatment plan which can be as long as 4-6 months. (THIS IS A DEADLY DISEASE transmitted by a mosquito,
Heartworm PREVENTATIVE protects them from becoming infected.
We require that a completed Pre-Adopt be filled out before any questions can be answered, we receive many calls and emails, and your patience and understanding helps us to find the best homes we can, we are volunteers and have family's and jobs. Completing the Pre-Adopt does not guarantee that you will get the animal, We try to find the home that we feel is the best fit and family that they need, you will be notified if selected via email or by phone, PLEASE do not take it personal if your not selected we get many applications.
