Merlin's Story...
Meet Merlin, we believe he is a Dachshund Chihuahua mix. He is 1 yr old and is about 11 lbs.
What we know so far about Merlin is he was a stray picked up by animal control. He was really, really scared when he was taken to the shelter. He was evaluated by the behavior dept and was reported that he was to scared to proceed to the shelters adoption center. Merlin needed to be rescued so ahome4spot stepped in and saved him.
Merlin was really scared when we picked him up however he is now coming around slowly. He is great with other dogs and appears to be house trained at this point.
Merlin needs a quiet environment with no small children to startle him while he learns to trust people again. He is also learning to walk on a leash. We will update his information as we get to know him better.
To meet Merlin please fill out an interest form at www.ahome4spot.com and text his foster mom Carol at 702-232-8691

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merlin, a Las Vegas Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
