Noir's Story...
Bonjour. I am Noir (nwahr), which is French for black. As you can see, this is also the color of my beautiful coat. I arrived at the RHSPCA with my brother Scrappy when my humans could no longer care for us. I'm a pretty easy-going guy, and I've lived with cats before so adjusting to resident kitties is likely to happen. I like a good rubdown and some attention, but as you can probably tell from my waistline, I also really like to be lazy and cuddle too. My idea of a marathon involves binge watching TV shows or movies! I've been gentle with kiddos who come to visit me, but I'd probably do best with older kids since I'm quite a lot of cat to try to hold and I get a little wiggly if I don't feel supported. Why don't you pull up a chair so we can get to know each other (and I can get in your lap)?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Noir, a Harrisonburg Hemingway/Polydactyl cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hemingway/Polydactyl for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Hemingway/Polydactyl cat from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hemingway/Polydactyl breeders who help with Hemingway/Polydactyl rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
