Scrappy's Story...
Well hello! I'm a low-key kind of guy, I like to sit back and take it all in. You'll look up and see my bright green eyes watching you do things while I try to figure out what your up to. I'm a great host, I like to greet newcomers and make them feel welcome. I'm already dressed to the nines with my white tie! I can be your dapper new butler if you're looking for one. Let's get to know each other. I'm not the youngest or most active, but those are strengths too! I'm old enough to know not to climb your curtains, but young enough to climb into your lap. I think that's a great idea, don't you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scrappy, a Harrisonburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
