Popeye's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Popeye's Story...
POPEYE- Male, Boxer/Lab mix, 1 yr, 58 lbs.
Medium energy. Great with other dogs!!

From Popeye's foster mom: "What we know so far: He is a very sweet boy, playful and affectionate. He loves people and gets along well with our dog (a cocker spaniel). His first night with us was quiet, without any “incidents”, so it seems that he is house trained. He needs work on simple commands, like sit, come, stay, and is very food oriented so he should be easy to train... tries to steal food whenever he gets the chance! All in all, he is a great dog and we are really happy to foster him in our home.

***Woof.. Please know that the rescue has posted all the information that they have on me here. As my foster family gets to know me they will post updates, so please check back! If you are interested in me please fill out an application at www.petsaliveniagara.ca/adopt and one of my friends will get back to you within 2 to 5 business days.***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Popeye, a St. Catharines Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in St. Catharines, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in St. Catharines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Catharines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Catharines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Catharines paves the way for another one to be saved.
