My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Gypsy is a beautiful 4 month chocolate lab mix puppy. She is completely blind in both eyes and needs a family who is willing to accommodate her special needs. She has a wonderful disposition and gets along with everyone. She loves to run and play so she will need a family willing to keep furniture in the same place for her so she won't harm herself. She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via PETS transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances lists dogs as being available in Kittery, Maine because we transport our dogs to Kittery every other week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
