My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Goldie.
Goldie's story was suppose to end much, much differently than how it did. You see, Goldie was suppose to be used as bait for a dog fighting ring. I know everyone has at least *heard* of the term "bait dog" but in case u haven't, these dogs are used to train the fighter dogs to kill. To attack over and over with absolutely no holding back. It is to give the fighter dogs the taste of blood and to "boost" their confidence as they are always successful in mauling their prey. Puppies, seniors, small dogs - those are favored because they stand no chance. And of course the infamous "Free dog to good home" is the dogfighter's dream come true. Why pay for live bait when u can get it for free?
So that was Goldie's fate. Until someone decided to DO something instead of turning away in disgust. Goldie's savior was able to convince her tormentors to release her. And here is where her story takes that turn from something horrifying....to something beautiful.
Goldie is now safe in foster. Happy, playful, and all the puppy-ness a 6 month old baby could muster. She has no idea how close she came to dying a terrifying death. All she knows is that she loves to snuggle. And play with her doggie foster siblings. And that belly rubs are her favorite. This little love will be ready for her new home in just a few short weeks. She is perfect with other dogs and would be great with kids. She loves activity - so all ur joggers, hikers, walkers out there - this girl here would be ur perfect partner.
