Villa's Story...
Villa is a very special your lady. She was a bottle baby dropped off at Petsmart, found by a San Leandro resident. When she was a few weeks old be became extremely sick with a virus and suffered a very bad seisure which left her in a coma for a couple of days. When she regained consciousness she had regressed to infancy again and had to relearn all her potty training, lapping skills, walking etc. and it turns out that she also lost most of her eyesight. At 5 months she has regained alot of her skills and can navigate playtime using her other senses, she loves to run and play with her toys. At this time we are looking for a special home that will be able to work with Villa improving the skills she has relearned and offering her a safe and nurturing environment where she will be able to live life to the fullest within her limitations. The second photos shows her as a tiny kitten with Sambuka her foster mate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Villa, a San Leandro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Leandro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Leandro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leandro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leandro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leandro paves the way for another one to be saved.
