My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jessi was found by chance out in the middle of nowhere near death. His condition was horrifying. Poor Jessi could barely walk, barely move, and barely lift himself up because he was so weak. The vet found that Jessi had a belly full of worms and a bloodstream full of infection. Jessi has required months of treatment with antibiotics and steroids to help get him become infection free! We can't understand why someone would abandon a tiny, helpless puppy in the country to die a slow, cruel, and lonely death. Jessi is still just a pup! He has proven himself a fighter.

Once Jessi started to feel better, he became incredibly full of energy! We can barely keep his wiggly body still. Jessi was so close to death, but is now so full of life. Jessi has become quite popular among our other kennel residents. Jessi took it upon himself to help Shorty, a dog who was also abandoned and alone in the country, come out of his shell, feel safe for the first time in his life, and warm up to human interaction. Jessi spends his days playing in the mud with Chance and Nala. Jessi acts like a big dog...and everyone listens! Jessi sure enjoys his toys and treats.

We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to get to see Jessi grow! We wish he could spend his young days and years outside of a kennel. He needs your home!!! Look through Jessi's big eyes into his sweet heart and consider the possibility that he's your soulmate!
