Facts about Precious

  • Breed: Turkish Angora
  • Color: White (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Hello, my name is Precious and I’m a beautiful Turkish Angora mix. I have long, soft, white fur and two unique grey tabby marks on the top of my head, which I understand is rare. I had a rough beginning when I became a mother at a young age. After my babies were weaned, my owners simply said they "didn't want me anymore" and took me to the Denton Animal Shelter. I am forever grateful to Animal Allies of Texas for taking me in and finding me a loving foster home. I now feel safe and am helping nurse 5 surrogate kittens who were given to me in the animal shelter. The workers there hoped I would accept and adopt these 5 orphaned kittens as my own since they were very tiny, without their momma, and left in a ditch to die. Because of my great, loving momma heart, I did! And I love them like my own. :) Now, because of my excellent love and care of them, they are thriving too! Every day, I blossom and flourish in my foster home. Soon I will be ready to adjust to life on my own. My foster family believes that I will be a loving and sweet kitty for that special family. I love children and am very good with them, but with everything I have been through, I do need patience and a little TLC to fully blossom into the confident and lovely girl that I was meant to be. If I sound like a kitty that you would like to adopt, please complete an on-line application and a kind volunteer from Animal Allies will contact you.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
