Meow! Hello, I’m Hurricane, and I’m a handsome and fluffy brown tabby kitten. My 7 siblings and I were rescued from the shelter just in time, along with the surrogate mommy cat who nursed us. Can you imagine our excitement when all 9 of us were scooped up by two wonderful foster families, packed into a laundry basket, and placed into loving homes? I’m very affectionate and love to cuddle with you. My foster mommy tells me that I have a quiet, loving soul, and that God made me for someone very special. Although I love being with my foster family, I’ll soon be ready for my forever home. My wish is to be adopted by a loving family who has the time to play with me and give me the attention I seek. Having another kitten or dog to play with would be the icing on the cake! If I sound like a kitty that you would like to meet, please complete an on-line application and one of AAT’s kind volunteers will be in touch.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
