Zach's Story...
My Name is Zack I am 3 1/2 year old Shepard mix. I am so sweet and calm and a very passive boy. I am like a big cuddly teddy bear. I was adopted as a puppy, but they weren't very nice to me. Threw me out side and forgot about me. My foster mom thinks they hit me, but I won't tell her for sure. I am safe now, but I would really like a forever home where I will be loved and spoiled all the time and inside with the family and not forgotten about. I think I weight about 60- 65 pounds so I'm not huge, but not tiny either.. If interested in Zach please contact my foster mom Tina at Tina_arfanagedogrescue@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zach, a Phoenix Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
