found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
This lucky little fluffer is named AJ! AJ is a 12 year old, 13 lb. Poodle/Bichon mix who was originally surrendered to Philly's animal control shelter because his family couldn't afford to care for a pet. He lucked out and was rescued by City of Elderly Love, adopted to an amazing home, but recently returned due to a family emergency that would require his new mom to be out of the country for an extended period of time. AJ is back with his foster family and has settled right back in and is officially back on the market!
AJ is currently living with other dogs, both large and small, and children in his foster home! He loves spending time with his canine foster siblings and wrestles around appropriately with his pit bull foster sister. He also adores snuggling up next to the other dogs as well as his foster family on the couch. He has great energy and is both always up for an adventure, but also easy-going and loves a good nap. AJ loves meeting everyone regardless of their age or size - he's just happy to get attention! AJ gets along just fine with cats! AJ has had no trouble with housebreaking, especially since he gets frequent outdoor breaks and is on a typical daily schedule. He is now also crate trained for when his foster family is away from the house. AJ would basically be an easy addition to most families - could it be yours?
AJ received a veterinary work up when he came to the rescue and was also giving a haircut so he's looking even more handsome now! AJ received a dental cleaning under sedation at the vet and his blood work came back normal. AJ does have a Grade V heart murmur and takes daily medication to help him feel great. He's full of spunk and has lots of love left to give!
AJ is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also heartworm and lymes disease negative. Interested in adopting him? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at email@example.com!
