Leo's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, not good with kids, and good with cats.

Leo's Story...
Tiny Leo is one mighty man with a saucy personality! He came to the shelter as a stray and appears to be around 10 years old. Leo will need a certain kind of home where people understand they are getting a tiny, sometimes grumpy Chihuahua. Leo does not like new people right away. When he does get to know you he loves you and doesn’t forget who you are. People food is the way to his heart! Leo likes to lay around in his dog bed and is comfortable with living with other animals as long as they are similar in age and size, but he is bossy as normal Chihuahuas are. He does get along with cats as well. All he needs is time to adjust and he is sweetest loving little old man! Visiting him in the shelter will take more than one time because he is settled and will need time to adjust to you. We recommend bringing him some yummy treats! Are you ready to give this sweet boy a resting home? Come visit him today!

All dogs receive their first canine booster, a dose of worming medication; will be heartworm tested and is micro-chipped; The adoption fee is $80 and includes a voucher for a rabies shot and spay/neuter at any TCAP location!

**Do not post animals on Craigslist or E-bay**
Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Watauga Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Watauga, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Watauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Watauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Watauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Watauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
