My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SPORT is a 1 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 69 pounds. : Sport is a very friendly, he likes to be with you and get petted. He has a nice LabLean which he practices when he wants to be petted. He will chase after a toy and brings it back once in a while. Think these are the first toys he has had a chance to play with. He rides well, would like to help you drive but is fine staying in the back and looking out the windows. He would love a home with some active family. He needs a fenced yard as he has proven that he will wander off if left alone Good with other dogs, has been out with several other LR pups with no problems. No cat history. Knows sit, and come. Will have a training addendum as he is a young dog. Hasn’t been on lead much, is good with an Easy Walk Harness. Crate trained may be house trained as waits to go until he is outside Sport comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placements is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. Sport is approved for kids ages 10+. More info soon

From shelter rescue coordinator Sport was surrendered as his owner after he had been hit by a car. They didn't have a fence and he kept wandering off and were afraid he would get hit again. Sport has road rash on his hind end and belly. He is extremely sweet, friendly, loves people and attention. He is a really nice dog. They asked us to help so Sport will get a new family that will love him and give him all the care and attention he needs for the remainder of his life
