Pippy's Story...
Hi! My name is Pippy! The first thing my foster dad noticed about me were my eyebrows. He said they're "on fleek." I'm living in my foster home with one of my brothers. He and I like to wrestle and play together a lot. I like cuddling when I'm tired, but I also like my alone time at the end of the bed. I'm a little protective of my wet food, but it's so yummy to not want it all to myself. Plus, I'm a growing girl. Did I mention that I am potty-trained?
I love my foster family, but I'd love even more to find my forever home.
Want to meet me and put me on hold? Fill out an application at WAALrescue.org/adoptions. I will come sterilized, FeLV tested, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pippy, a Wichita Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wichita, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Wichita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wichita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wichita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wichita paves the way for another one to be saved.
