Scotch's Story...
Scotch got his Christmas wish...after 4 months of sitting in a cage, he was able to find a permanent, loving home and be placed with his brother Garfield! Please help their many friends still back at the shelter!!! Scotch is another awesome cat that came to us as a 'stray'. He has obviously been well cared for and is already neutered. Scotch is about 2yrs old and loves to cuddle and roll in catnip. Scotch does well with grooming and purrs nice and loud. He likes to follow you around and rub on your legs for attention and will even talk to you if he thinks you're ignoring him. Scotch and Garfield came in together but may also be adopted separately. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scotch, a Kankakee Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Kankakee, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Kankakee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kankakee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kankakee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kankakee paves the way for another one to be saved.
