Louie's Story...
Louie has been rescued by and is available for adoption at Beecher Animal Clinic. Please contact the clinic if you have any questions regarding this pup at 708-946-3131

Louie is a wonderfully submissive rat terrier about 1 yr old.
This little guy was found in a citizen's yard trying to play with another dog. He has been such a delight at the shelter and is waiting for a permanent home that will never allow him to wander the streets lost. Louie loves to be on your lap and always snuggling. He give gentle kisses and knows how to sit and maybe even shake. Louie will be easy to train since he is very smart and eager to please. He appears to be well potty trained and has been walking nice on a leash as well. Louie will be good with children 8yrs and up and would like another canine companion to keep him company. Louie is not a big barker but will throw his head back and howl when he gets lonely. Please contact Beecher Animal Clinic if you are interested in adopting Louie 708-946-3131.

**Resources will be provided at time of adoption for Louie to be neutered!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Kankakee Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Kankakee, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Kankakee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kankakee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kankakee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kankakee paves the way for another one to be saved.
