Ladybug's Story...
'Ladybug' is a lovely girl about 5yrs old. She was found wandering the streets and her microchip information was not current. This sweetheart was terrified her first day in the shelter and she had a sore paw from running the streets. After a couple in the quiet office to work on socializing and trust. Ladybug began bonding with our staff right away and spent her office days lounging in a fluffy bed and filling her belly with good food. After an excellent vet check showing her paw has healed, she is now looking for her forever home. Ladybug will do best in a quieter home where she can be well pampered and have people around her the majority of the day. Ladybug is a very low energy girl and she is also already potty trained and has wonderful house manners. If you are looking for a sweet girl that will be a great companion, please come meet her today!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ladybug, a Kankakee Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Kankakee, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Kankakee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kankakee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kankakee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kankakee paves the way for another one to be saved.
