Tony's Story...

Hi! My name is Tony and I am a 1 yr old domestic short hair cat. I have been at the shelter since January and I really would like to find a loving home. I have made many friends here, most of which have been adopted, but I am really ready for someone to pick me!!! I love laying in the sun and quite enjoy the company of other kitties, present and past, who have been here at the facility. I just can't see how I have been passed up for this long!!! I am sweet and loving, current on all of  my vaccinations and neutered!!! What more could someone be looking for. So, if you are looking for an AMAZING companion who will love you till the end of the earth and back, then I am your boy!!! I don't mean to sound conceited but come on, how have I been passed up so many times before. Oh, there's more! My adoption fee is only $20!!!! Please come down and spend some time with me today and if you would like, I just might come home with you :) If you have any questions, Michelle can tell you all there is to tell, just call the shelter and ask for her!!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tony, a Kankakee Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kankakee, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Kankakee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kankakee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kankakee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kankakee paves the way for another one to be saved.
