A bun who lives by her own rules, Acacia likes to have things her way and will let you know of her displeasure with a foot thump. She’ll need a patient, gentle hand to accustom her to being picked up and to gain her trust. She also has a tendency to boss her siblings around, and may do best in an enclosure on her own. However, don’t be deceived! Once accustomed to her environment, Acacia loves to hunker down with you under a blanket for some cozy head pets. Because of her ‘bun attitude’, she may do best with a more experienced owner.

About House Rabbit Network

About Our Shelter...

The House Rabbit Network is an organization formed with two primary purposes:
To rescue homeless rabbits and find them good indoor homes and also
to educate the public about rabbits and their care. These activities may include:
• providing foster care for discarded domestic rabbits and arranging for adoption to permanent indoor homes;

• assisting humane societies and shelters with rabbits;

• providing spay/neuter surgery and veterinary care through arrangements with area practitioners;

• rehabilitating and socializing mistreated or neglected animals;

• permanently caring for animals who cannot be placed in adoptive homes due to serious health or behavioral problems; and

• educating the public on responsible pet ownership and humane practices.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Meetings are by appointment only - please phone our adoption hotline to arrange one.

Our Adoption Process...

We only adopt to indoor homes. We ask for a donation of $75 for a single rabbit and $125 for a bonded pair. Bonded pairs cannot be split up and must be adopted together. If you are interested call our hotline at 781-431-1211 for an adoption interview. They will go over rabbit care with you.
