This is Cornelius. A 1 year old, 40lb. Wire-haired terrier mix. Great with other dogs..Has some energy..OK - has lots of energy. He was picked up as a stray by Animal Control in central Louisiana. While we don't know much about his past, we can tell you that this adorable Terrier mix is as darling as they come! He is easily handled and enjoys pets and pats from head to tail. Cornelius loves human attention and affection yet still can explore new situations with independence, making him the perfect family or companion dog. He is excellent with other dogs, and kids, so he would make a smooth transition into most households.Currently in foster in Ohio.

About Rescue Road Trips, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small non-profit organization that started out as a low cost transport service for rescues to move dogs and cats from the southern states to the northeast for foster homes and forever homes. We pick up in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi and transport to the northeast. Since beginning this business we have started as a rescue as well. We take in a small amount of dogs in need and foster them until a loving forever home can be found.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters will complete the adoption application. A vet check/reference will be done as well as a phone interview with the potential adopter and a home visit. If everything goes well, arrangements will be made for adoption. This will include transport if out of state as well as the adoption contract and a fee of $125. By signing the contract the adopter agrees to all requirements of RRT including Heartworm and flea/tick preventative and continued veterinary care.
