This little guy has apparently been abused.... he's had his back legs seriously injured and likely received no medical care in a timely manner,,,, so now he has a very unusual gait. But it doesn't slow him down one bit!! He's just been neutered (as you can see, he's still wearing his lampshade!) but he's managed to figure out the doggie door and getting up on the furniture and his social skills with other dogs are tremendous. And we decided he looks just like a little red panda and have renamed him accordingly.
His big hurdle is going to be finding someone who can work thru his real fear of strangers. He showed us on this travels to rescue that he's very quick to accept his 'new person',, but seems to only be able to trust one person at a time just yet. We're hopeful that as he finds that he's met many nice people he might come to understand that he can deal with them in larger numbers. But for now,,, it's going to take a special person with a willingness to keep him safe while he learns to trust again.
