Our litter of five tiny kittens was found in a dumpster when we were about three or four weeks old. The kind lady saw we were very sick with respiratory infections, and nursed us as best she could until PZF could take us in. We went immediately to the very best foster mom in the whole world, and it’s a good thing. Besides needing to be bottle fed for a while, several of us had eye infections that sealed them closed. We all looked alike – gray with a little white trim. Even the sickest of our family would run around and play. All of us survived, and several of our family have gone to other homes.
We turned out to be the most confident, loving kitties because there wasn’t a moment that we weren’t being fed, washed, medicated or just cuddled.

My eyes have some residual scarring, but I can see fine. I will need an antihistamine pill each day, and I do sneeze prolifically, but I am filled with energy and silliness. I play well with all other kitties, and adore people who either want to play or to snuggle. I am getting to know to the doggie volunteer too! The face washing I require occasionally is a very small price to pay for the incredible purrsonality I will bring into your life.

About Peter Zippi Fund For Animals

About Our Rescue Group...

In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals, The Peter Zippi Memorial Fund For Animals was founded in 1977 by Dr. Alice Villalobos. We have adopted out over 14,000 pets (mostly cats) since then. The fund is run by wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help those who can't help themselves. The fund sponsors spay/neuter vouchers to qualified persons, and shelter for and adoptions of lost and homeless animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Fees:

up to 6 months of age: $110.00

6 to 12 months of age: $85.00

Cats older than 1 year: $60.00

Over 5 years old to qualified person over 60 years old is free.

These are the minimum fees required. Please note they include the first (and sometimes more) vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter surgery, treatment for fleas, worms, and fairly often, costly treatment for other maladies, which result from abandonment

Of course, if you would like to make a larger donation to help cover our care for the homeless animals, we would be delighted. All donations over the minimum fees are tax deductible, and will receive written acknowledgment.

We have an adoption questionaire to fill out prior to being approved, and a personal interview with an adoption counselor is required; at our discretion, a home visit may be required. Adopters agree to keep cat(s) indoors only and to not declaw.
