This beauty queen is Kaylan! She has a sad story but boy how her luck has changed. She & her brother were taken to a high kill shelter in GA and it is believed that they both may have been shot. It was an odd landlord/tenant situation so we’ll never know the whole story. Her brother was adopted and that left the sweet Kaylan behind. Kaylan is just as sweet as they come. The shelter workers absolutely adored her and advocated heavily that The Last Resort help save her. So we did! Kaylan is a husky mix and has one blue eye and one brown. She is weighing in at 65 pounds now and may even grow some when she gets into a stable environment. She is definitely a big girl! She is 1 year old and just a complete delight. She does know to sit for treats and is a huge snuggler with her people. She is a bit timid with other dogs, but she is very new to her foster home so we fully expect she will learn to play and romp with them in no time. Kaylan is in a temporary foster home in GA right now and we are learning more about her. Oh and it’s important to note that her leg (where she may have been shot) seems to be healing up very nicely and our vet actually suspects it wasn’t a gunshot wound, but a snake bite! She is available for adoption and can be transported to MD or NJ – after a wonderful, approved adopter is found. We will update her bio just as soon as we know more!
