Sawyer's Story...
Poor Sawyer was going to be put down in a high kill shelter in Louisiana when he was just a little baby. He was unwanted because his back legs were not working correctly. The volunteers fell in love with his sweet and friendly disposition, and they networked like crazy to find a rescue for this cute guy. Now he's up here, he's had surgery on both his back legs, and even though he may walk with a slight limp the rest of his life, he isn't in pain, and it doesn't impact his ability to tear around the yard playing with his buddies. Sawyer may never be a frisbee dog, but he's the best little lap dog around! Sawyer is only about 30 pounds, so he'll fit in anywhere. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sawyer, a Ijamsville Feist/Dutch Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Feist/Dutch Shepherd for sale in Ijamsville, or seeking a Feist/Dutch Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Ijamsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ijamsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ijamsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Feist/Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Feist/Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ijamsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
