Hi, my name is Happy. I am an 8 year old with lots of spunk and life left! Do not let that grey face of mine fool you! People say I am part Jack Russell and part Corgi. I am pretty low key in the house, and love my walks and out door time. I do not require a lot of exercise, a good walk a day would be sufficient for me! I am super cute I am told, I love to play around with my humans. They tell me I have happy feet. I guess that is because I like to play bow and run, stopping and starting, which makes it look like I dance a little. I really am an adorable little man. I weigh about 25lbs so I am a good little size.

Did I mention I love to cuddle. I also love to follow my humans around!

I am a good little walker when I am wearing my prong collar. Without it sometimes I forget we are walking on leash and pull- so whoever is lucky enough to adopt me will have to understand my walking quirks and continue to use my collar.

I love other dogs, both big and small. However I do have a bit of a prey drive so should not be in a house with cats, or bunnies, or things like that. I like to play with other dogs, and I will even cuddle with them. But whether they are there are not really makes no difference to me. I love my humans the best.

Like all dogs I have my quirks. I can bark at things I see outside, so a house, not an apartment is the best place for me. I love to look out the window at things. I do not bark excessively, and I do listen when I am told not to. But its best we play it safe! I also need a home without children.

Did I mention I also crate well, I know the term “kennel up” and I run off to my home. I often lay in there on my comfy bed just to sleep as well. Not that I need to be crated as I am fully house trained, and I am not destructive at all in the house. I also know the commands sit, come, go pee, and well of course my name.

I like to eat, but I never overeat. I also have no food aggression with my bowl or with treats. That is with humans or dogs. I know I will get another meal, so there is no need to fight over it. I stick to my own bowl and do not try and eat others food either.

My last quirk is one that needs ongoing work. I tend to claim my people. I cant help it. I love my humans so much. But I know the word “off” and who ever adopts me will have to be a firm leader who will keep me off the bed and will tell me to get off the couch when needed. Off, needs to be enforced and I must understand you MEAN IT. While I will be your best friend, you also need to be my leader. This way if you want me to move, off, and I will get down.

In closing, I am looking for someone to give me belly rubs, take me for walks, and love me forever. Is that you? My foster mommy knows how awesome I am and she will certainly tell you how special I truly am!
