Dakota's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Dakota's Story...
Dakota went to rainbow bridge after fighting a long hard disease that took over. Be happy, boy. Dakota was found abandoned on a Levee. He has a spectacular coat and loves attention. He gets along well with some dogs. It is so sad when people dispose of pets like yesterday's trash. Please help this guy regain his faith in the human race and consider giving him a forever home. If you would like to help sponsor this guy or foster him, call the ARFline, please put a note on your Pay pal entry with his name. For more info call the ARFline 337-332-4756. If you can't adopt a dog help to make our pups more comfy, donate a Kuranda bed for them to sleep on, go to http://www.kuranda.com/shop/donate.asp

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Lafayette Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
