N Trina's Story...
Trina is a 6 year old girl who has vision problems. She is a KaTRINA dog who was rescued from New Orleans by a local vet and has been with us ever since. She is very sweet and friendly but needs a quiet home that she can maneuver around without dangerous obstacles. She can walk around the backyard and the ARF office without problems. She needs ointment in her eyes daily to insure her comfort. This poor old girl has had a rough few months, surviving the storm, losing her family, and now...waiting for a new family to come to her. She had heartworms and has been treated. Now she is looking for a quiet loving home to live out the rest of her life.Call the ARFline for more information 337-332-4756. Why Adoption is a Great Option

N Trina, a Lafayette Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
