My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing only for MINNIE and BOOMER. These Doxies are NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. For information, please contact their current caretaker, Jackie at (503) 449-1116 or CrowellJackie@gmail.com.

DOGGIE BIO:

Minnie & Boomer are a bonded pair in Gladstone, OR. Due to some serious health issues with their owner, they are unable to stay with them.

Minnie is a Smooth, Red, Spayed Female, 8 years old, and weighs 13 lbs. She has no known health issues and her teeth are in great shape. MINNIE enjoys eating out of the garden (loves fresh veggies off the vine). She is also an attention seeker and will let you know when she wants to cuddle or for a belly rub.

Boomer is an unaltered smooth, black and tan Male Doxie, 8 years old and weighs 13 lbs. He has had trouble keeping weight on but he is improving. He has been checked (labs and tests) with Vet but they couldn't find anything. He eats, drinks, poops and acts normally. He is putting on weight as of the last few weeks.
He LOVES Minnie, he is VERY bonded to her. He loves walks. He loves to eat. He wants to be affectionate but is hesitant and takes awhile to settle in. BOOMER
can be very playful and tries to play with Minnie when she is interested. He has lots of personality: Rubs his belly on the floor and makes silly, funny sounds.

Unfortunately, ODR, Inc. is over-full and cannot take her in. If you or anyone you know can help, please share this email or contact their current caretaker, Jackie at (503) 449-1116 or CrowellJackie@gmail.com. Thank you!

Please note, this is a Courtesy Listing for doxies that are NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. We are helping the owner find their new forever family. Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. has posted these dogs as available for adoption or rescue intake as a courtesy accommodation to the dogs' owner. Any and all information, photos, etc. have been provided by the dogs' owner. Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. is not responsible for the accuracy of any of the information contained in this listing or any information that may have been omitted. Thank you!

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria for dogs that we adopt and that we recommend to owners whose doxies we list courtesy posts for, the sole aim of which is to facilitate a successful adoption with a forever family.

*Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time?
*Have a securely fenced yard?
*We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and
*Children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie).
*We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc).
*Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog.

Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these or similar issues.

Thank you!
