Pandora's Story...
Pandora is a 1.5-year-old beautiful black Great Dane who loves animals and people of all ages. She is currently living with an 8.5 yr. old pug, 2 older cats and 1 younger outdoor cat. She loves to be next to people, is the classic 'I must lean on you' type Dane. She also enjoys watching you cook, clean dishes, do the laundry (she'll stand directly in front of the washing machine and dryer with you and watch you load clothes, unload clothes, and one you've finished folding all of the laundry, she'll jump on them like a pile of leaves, lol), overall, she’s a joy to be with. She loves walks, currently goes on 1-2 mile (or more) walks every day, twice a day, and we're currently working on her jumping/mouthing issues while she is on a leash/on walks. A formal training requirement will be a condition of her adoption to ensure she continues to learn proper manners. Pandora would do well with an experienced Dane owner with children over the age of 8. She interacts nicely with children under the age of 2, but she didn't know how big she is. Oh, she loves carbs, organic sprouted grains are one of her favorites!
Pandora came to MAGDRL in September. (5)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pandora, a Manassas Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Manassas, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Manassas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manassas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manassas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manassas paves the way for another one to be saved.
