Pepper's Story...
I know you’re probably thinking to yourself, “This is the most precious pooch I have ever seen.” Well, you are precisely right. I am practically perfect. A fun breed mix, possibly the best in the world, if you ask me. Plus, I’m wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children. I’m even crate trained already too, but at 8 months old I’m still just a pup—playful yet polite, personable, and pliable! You bring the patience, I’ll bring the potential! So if you are pondering the idea of providing a home to a pleasant pooch, then you must consider me, Pepper! 8 months old-43lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes spay, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Portland Pointer/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pointer/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Border Collie breeders who help with Pointer/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
