Jack is a 3 yr old Shih Tzu. This handsome little man is blind as a result of bilateral corneal ulcers. This painful condition is likely caused an untreated, chronic eye infection, in occasions blunt force trauma. Jack takes 2 eye medications twice per day and lives a happy life. One month ago, his left eye was removed to improve his quality of life, as he was severely in pain.
Jack loves people, cats, and other dogs. He will always be blind, but this doesn't stop him from living a normal life. Jack loves to go on slow walks, where he can pause and sniff his surroundings, loves to play with other gentle dogs, and is not bothered by cats. He is friendly with everyone he meets. Whoever adopts this little man will be a very lucky person. A home with older considerate children is preferred, as he is a little man with a disability.
