Dallas's Story...
My name is Dallas and I am always happy to make new friends! I am a 1 year old Boxer mix. My foster family says I am a very loving guy and I adore being around people. I'd like to find a family that will play fetch with me and can supply me with Nylabones for my chewing pleasure. I am crate trained, walk well on the leash, am house trained/housebroken and know how to use the doggy door. I've already mastered the 'sit' and 'down' commands. We are working on my jumping up because I'm always excited to see new people. While this may sound like a bad habit that I know can be fixed, the good thing is that while I'm initially excited, it doesn't take me long to calm down. I will make a fun addition to any family. For more on adopting a handsome dog like me, please email info@habitat4paws.org.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dallas, a McKinney Retriever (Unknown Type)/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Boxer for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Boxer dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Boxer breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
