FOUND ON 117 ROCKY LN SEE NOTES Eve says growing up in a shelter is very hard. Eve is just a six-month-old pitbull mix puppy. She tries very hard to be well mannered, but she has a lot of energy and gets very bored in her kennel. Once you take her out, she is a happy girl. She loves to play with toys. She was well behaved during physical exam and absolutely loved the attention. She is food motivated, and she will sit for treats. Eve seems to get along with other dogs, and she did not seem interested in or reactive to cats. We think that Eve would do best in a home prepared to do some basic training, and provide lots of exercise and attention. We think that she would do fine with children, as long as they are respectful to her. To learn more about our adoption or rescue programs, please visit us at www.joplinhumane.org. We are the Joplin Humane Society in Joplin, MO 417-623-3642. Eve is a friendly and energetic young Pitbull shepherd mix. She is only about 6moa old. This girl has been waiting at our shelter for far too long. Eve will need a family with patience and the willingness to do some training, we think that she would do best in a home with some dog experience. Eve has lots of energy, and will pull pretty hard on a leash. She absolutely loves toys and loves to play, and will play with intensity. He seems to do well with other dogs her size, but she is not a fan of kitties. We think the Eve's perfect family would have some dog experience and be prepared to do the necessary training to help her become a well mannered dog. We think that Eve would do best in a home with children eight years of age and older. For more information about adoption, foster or rescue please visit us at www.joplinhumane.org. Our Adoption Process...

We believe in an open, non-judgmental adoption process. We recognize that no one is perfect and try to match a person's pet expectations so fewer pets are returned. Under normal conditions the process is:

- Come in with your family and look around. If you see a pet that you like, ask staff to meet the pet (if the pet is available to be taken out)
- Complete the adoption questionnaire.
- After the meeting, go over what information we have on file about the pet and his/her past experience.
- Finish the process by having a conversation with our adoption staff.
- After the above is completed, we can put a hold on a pet for 24 hours if you need time to think about the decision or to prepare your home.
- Most of our pets can go home the same day.

Adoption fees are: $90 - $140
This includes the animals spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, de-worming and micro-chip.

Rules:
- We will not adopt a pet to anyone under the age of 18
- We will not adopt to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- We reserve the right not to place a pet in a home based on the information we have or if we feel the pet is not a match for the person's lifestyle.

JHS does reduce or waive adoption fees for a variety of reasons: Too many cats or kittens in the building, older and special needs pets that have a harder time finding homes, etc. Adoption Promotions are a fun way to engage the public and bring in potential adopters. Shelters remain the #4 way people obtain their pets.
