Esther's Story...
Esther was rescued from a high kill shelter in rural Tennessee. She is approximately 2-3 years old and weighs around 10-15 pounds. Esther is a very submissive people-pleaser. She LOVES to be held like a baby and will stay there in your arms for as long as you will let her and will be happy as can be about it. Esther is very calm. However, she will alert you if someone new is at your door! She doesn't really bark, but does a long, low whine! Ha! Esther is super friendly with cats and all the other dogs in her foster home, but most of all, she is very patient and gentle with small children due to having a mother hen heart. She is house trained, crate trained, and wonderful with dogs, cats, children, and strangers. She really is the perfect little companion!

If you are interested in adding Esther to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. Esther is being fostered in West Tennessee with children, dogs, and cats. She will be transported once her adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Esther, a Southington Feist/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Feist/Chihuahua for sale in Southington, or seeking a Feist/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Feist/Chihuahua breeders who help with Feist/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
