Meet Marmalade! Bless her...she had a busy six months.
Marmalade was a cat that we tried to rescue after she had a previous litter of kittens at the end of May. We were heading to get her and she moved the four kittens and no one knew where. Speed forward about six weeks and someone called us to say that a friendly mom cat and her four kittens were residing in the trees in their backyard. Turns out it was Marmalade and her first litter who we rescued. They all moved to a foster home and on the day that Marmalade was to be spayed, we discovered that she was pregnant again. We have two litters who are half brothers and sisters which is so fun!
Her second litter of kittens is referred to as the Breakfast Kittens since their names are all about our favorite meal of the day….breakfast. TMHPR had a video feed set up in her foster home and we were able to witness the births and her caring for them. It was amazing to see! Also interesting that this litter of kittens has two different birthdays….two kittens were born on August 17 and two on August 18 ….twenty four hours apart.
All the kittens are sweet, healthy & growing. Everyone is just about ready for their forever homes. It is definitely Marm's turn to be spoiled and loved. She is a young mother and with four playful little ones, she still loves to play and snuggle herself. She will be a great addition to a family with or without other animals. She is a lovebug.
Marmalade's approximate birthday is 6/28/2014.
