Wallie's Story...
Meet Wallie!

Wallie is a sweet as can be hound mix around six to seven months old! Wallie came to the shelter with his brothers Willie and Waylan! They are all a bit scared here at the shelter but they are starting to come out of their shells! What they really need is a forever home to continue to blossom into the wonderful boys that they are! Wallie is a sweet boy who is happy to just snuggle up next to you. He may take a little bit to warm up to you but he's just a shy boy who really needs some love! He will just sit by your side. He is great with handling and he will happily sit next to you when you give him some snuggles. He's a bit scared on the leash so he will need a home that can continue to give him some positive reinforcement and make him comfortable out in the world! Wallie is a really great boy who would love to be in a warm loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wallie, a Philadelphia Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
