Bugsy's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Bugsy a chi/maltese mix and his mom Jezebel a Maltese were surrendered by there owner..  Bugsy is 5 pounds. They are both sweet with people and can learn to be around other dogs but they are scared. Bugsy likes to bark in a pen/crate as the fierce little chi he is. From what i know they have been living in a home with another dog and cat and a toddler. While they were given love, financially both the owner and temporary care taker were unable to care for them. It would be great if they could be adopted together.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bugsy, a Sanford Chihuahua/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Maltese for sale in Sanford, or seeking a Chihuahua/Maltese dog from a breeder in Sanford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sanford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sanford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Maltese breeders who help with Chihuahua/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sanford paves the way for another one to be saved.
