  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult

  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 16-10-21-10
Jasmine is a pretty pocket pit girl who is about 3 years old and on the smaller size for that breed at only 28 pounds. She can be shy with new people, but once she gets to know you she is just wonderful. She was surrendered as a stray with a litter of puppies and the puppies have all been weaned and found their homes. But, alas, the adults have a harder time. Jasmine has great leash manners, is good with other dogs but can be pushy with dogs who get in her face - she isn't a fan of that but you can't blame her for not tolerating another dog clodhopping her all the time. She is a wonderful size and will make someone a terrific pet. Jasmine tested positive for heartworms and we were not shocked, but it is still frustrating because it is just one more hurdle for her but is doing well with her treatment. This is a great dog who deserves a loving family of her own!!!

About Carroll County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Carroll County Humane Society is a NO-KILL Animal Shelter in McKenzie, West Tennessee. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with funding coming entirely from private contributions, fundraising and grants. We care for approximately 250 animals at one time in a building we've purchased and in foster homes. Our goal is to utilize Adoption and Spay/Neuter as our community's animal population control - not euthanasia. We hope to insure that all companion animals have a warm, safe, loving home and to assist and educate the public about proper pet care. We also give shelter to abused animals while assisting law enforcement to prosecute their abusers.
