Lexi's Story...
Meet Lexi! This sweet little Yorkie mix is about 6 years old, and was found abandon on the side streets of Tijuana, Mexico. Lexi loves to be near her people and really enjoys home-cooked meals filled with nutrients! She is excellent on a leash and is a big fan of long walks. Lexi loves to cuddle and sleep on her foster dad's chest, so be prepared for lots of love! Due to neglect, Lexi only has partial eye sight right now, but doctors are hopeful it will improve...and we think it makes her all the more special! Lexi is current on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and her adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in giving this little sweetheart a forever home, please fill out our online adoption application: https://www.theanimalpad.org/adopt-today.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexi, a San Diego Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
