My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ZORRO is a 6 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 52 pounds. Zorro arrived at his Foster home and is quickly learning the rules of the house. He was glad to stretch his legs in the yard before the torrential rain arrived and then he spent the evening exploring the house and proving that he is a lap dog. He has been respectful of the baby gates that we know he could jump over and he has had no accidents, so he appears to be house trained. He goes right to the door when he needs to go out and comes right back when called. Sleeps well in his crate. He pulls a bit on the leash but does better with an EZ Walk harness. He is short on commands, but enjoys treats, so he should be a quick learner.
His frosted face makes him seem older than his years, but Zorro is a healthy, active guy. He has a beautiful black coat that is short and sleek, and he has great muscle tone. He is very playful and energetic but settles very easily in the house. He is at that perfect age and energy level where he can easily make the transition from doing his zoomies in the yard to cuddling on the couch Zorro is such an easy foster. He has learned so much and adjusted easily to his foster's routine. This guy is a gem and his forever family will be very lucky. He loves people and other dogs, walks well using his harness, and crates like a dream. Zorro has proven he is a quick learner by mastering sit, come, and leave it. He really enjoys learning and I think he would love an obedience class where he could be learning alongside other dogs. When a mom and two girls stopped to pet Zorro on Saturday morning, he almost melted he was so contented. He loves walking in the woods and has quite the sniffer on him. At home, he just likes being with people. He has learned a little bit about "personal space" in his week with us but nothing makes him happier than cuddling up with his foster family to get loving. He has the most sleek black coat and everyone loves petting him. No cat history. Zorro is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update:: Zorro is a healthy, happy, energetic love bug who is 6 years old, good with ages 10 and up, unknown with cats, and good with dogs. He crates like a dream and walks well with a harness. One look into those golden eyes and you have a friend for life. He likes long walks in the woods, cuddling on the sofa, hanging near his people, and early bedtimes. Sometimes he gets so happy I like to run zoomies all around the yard and in and out of the house! He can't help it - life is good! Zorro is looking for a family with a cozy home and comfy couch for cuddling and the opportunity to go for walks because he loves to sniff new smells. His foster mom thinks he would be ok living in a townhome.
