Facts about Sherbert

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Sherbert was recently rescued by a very caring homeless person who saw him dumped out of a pick-up truck along the active RR tracks for ACE train. He immediately went and rescued the poor frightened kitten and hiked to a pay phone to give us a call.

Sherbert - Orange and white tabby short hair male -- Sherbert has a loud purr and uses it often. Usually as soon as he is picked up he purrs. He is playful and social and likes adult cats. How anyone could dump a kitten this sweet is beyond us.

Sherbert is approximately 8-10 weeks old and currently living at a foster home. He is litter box trained. He has been seen by our Vet and is healthy. He is scheduled to be fixed. He has been de-flead, de-wormed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and had his first shots at our expense.

If you have questions and/or would like to set-up a time to visit and/or adopt this cutie please send me an e-mail with your contact info. There is a tax deductible donation which will go to Forsaken Cats Rescue, a local 501c3 charity. Thank You.

About Forsaken Cats Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

FCR primarily does rescue and TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return and Manage) - We rescue cats and kittens from cat colonies, dumpsters, junkyards, railroad easements, parking lots, fields, streets, businesses, and other unsafe places where they struggle to survive. We reduce the number of homeless kittens born each year to feral and stray cat mothers through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and colony management.

FCR rescues cats and kittens from dangerous situations, such as poisoning which happens more than anyone realizes. Most of the kittens and cats that we rescue would be euthanized at shelters and we are their only chance at a better life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you are interested in meeting one of our kittens or cats up for adoption, please send us an email and we will be happy to set up a time to visit the cat or kitten in their foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

We schedule visits at our foster homes to see the kitten or cat because we do not do adoption fairs. We are a small organization and feel that it is important to see a cat or kitten's true personality which comes out best when they are visited in their foster home.
