Hey world! I'm Emerson and I'm a distinguished man in the prime of my life, but unfortunately I have landed at the Muskingum County Dog Warden & Adoption Center. I spend most of my days staring out from behind a chain-link fence and wondering how much longer I will have to be here. Although most of the dogs around me bark and carry on, I am more of the silent, observant type which might mean you could walk past without even noticing me. It may seem arrogant for me to say, but ignoring me would be a huge mistake! Even though I'm a big guy, and I'm a bit thick in the middle, I still do really great on a leash. Sure, I can get excited, but that should be pretty understandable since I may only get to go for a walk a couple times a week. So I've said all of that to say this, if you are looking for a really great, middle-aged dog, look no further! Come and visit me today....I'll be waiting for you!

Adoption fee is $105 which includes spay/neuter, combo and rabies shots, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test and dog tags. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.)
